How Do I Earn?

Like most blockchain games, Crypto Unicorns is driven by a live economy controlled by the players.

However, Crypto Unicorns has a more complex game loop that requires players to constantly decide whether they want to consume their resources to upgrade their farms for greater efficiency or list their assets for sale on the Rainbow Marketplace to earn $CU.

Players have the choice to sell everything they harvest immediately; however, it will come at the cost of progressing farms forward and unlocking larger rewards.

Gathering Cart

The Gathering Cart is where Unicorns spend time gathering resources to bring back to the farm. At the earlier levels, Unicorns will most often find seeds and small amounts of $UNIM; however, as your Gathering Cart increases in level, so do the chances for a jackpot of $UNIM tokens.

Questing Board

The Questing Board is where Unicorns go on missions into the Dark Forest to find rare and high grade materials. These materials can be very useful for upgrading your farm, or for sale on the marketplace.

Global Events

The Events tab is where players can see seasonal and chain quests that reward active players. Seasonal events often have special resources and leaderboards to track progress while the event is active.

Placing high on the leaderboards is a great way to win prizes!

Jousting

Jousting is the competitive arena for Unicorns, where the biggest and best compete for rewards and prestige. In any given jousting competition, Unicorns only need to win 1 round in the tournament to be profitable.

Don't worry- even if you lose in the first round, some of your entry fee will be refunded!

Breeding

Breeding is the core mechanic at the center of Crypto Unicorns that makes all of the magic possible. The Unicorn population is purely in the hands our players, as new Unicorn NFTs are only created when players choose to breed two existing unicorns together.

Genetics have a huge impact on the final parts and overall stats of new baby Unicorns. The evolution process, which turns baby Unicorns into full grown adults, allows players an additional opportunity to manipulate the genetics for the final outcome.

Breeding is highly strategic. Unicorns with high stats, more mythic parts, and desirable genetics can be very valuable on the open market! There is a gap for "high end" Unicorns; however, you'll always have to decide whether to sell the valuable offspring or breed them further for more babies...
