To celebrate the migration of Crypto Unicorns to the XAI blockchain, we are doing a Play to Airdrop campaign that will provide players with $XAI tokens and useful in-game rewards for participating in key activities.
Part of our thesis around sustainable gaming economies revolves around rewarding players who are the most active and strategic in the ecosystem. In combination with this, we also value community members who hang on to most of their assets over the long term.
In addition to the Play-to-Airdrop campaign described below, there are other buckets of XAI rewards that can be claimed each day by players. Read more at Daily XAI Rewards
It all started with a snapshot taken on May 28th, 2024 that looked at historical player data. Preseason points were awarded to existing players for their previous hard work, allowing them a small head start before Season 1.
Preseason points are meant to acknowledge the efforts of existing players and reinforce our belief in three core tenets when it comes to rewards: Be Early, Engaged, and Loyal.
Players were not able to earn additional preseason points; only those allocated for past actions in the CU ecosystem. You can read more about the preseason details on our official Substack:
Season 1 of the play-to-airdrop campaign kicks off on July 2nd, 2024 at 00:00 UTC.
Players will be able to earn XAI Points by completing specific actions within the Crypto Unicorns ecosystem. The more tasks you complete, the more points you earn.

Earning points will place you into a tier between 1 and 10. The higher the tier, the more value your airdrop will contain. Your tier will depend on how many XAI Points you accumulate compared to other players.
There are two paths to collecting XAI Points for ranking on the P2A Leaderboard. The first is through the Unicorn side, which takes place through the core game and requires at least 1 adult Unicorn & 1 Land to complete:
Complete daily login - 175 Points
Complete a weekly or daily quest - 25 Points each
Participate in a joust - 45 points each
Breed a Unicorn - 1,125 points each
Evolve a Unicorn - 1,875 points each
Stake CULP - 200 points per 1 CULP token staked (one time)
Hold Land - 5 points per common, 10 points per rare, and 25 points per mythic land held per day
The second path is through the Shadowcorn side, which takes place through the on-chain webportal known as the Shadow Forge and requires at least 1 Shadowcorn to complete:
Craft a Minion - 1 point for T1, 75 points for T2, and 500 points for T3 Minions
Hold A Shadowcorn - 25 points per common, 50 points per rare, and 1,150 points per mythic Shadowcorn held per day
