Jousting Elo Rating

Unicorns competing in Jousting tournaments will also have an Elo rating score.

Elo ratings start at 1,000 points and fluctuate based on performance in each Jousting match-up. Unicorns that are victorious will gain Elo points; unicorns that are defeated will lose Elo points.

The amount gained or loss is relative to the opponent. Unicorns with higher Elo than their opponents are considered favorites; they gain less Elo for winning and lose more Elo when defeated.

Similarly, Unicorns with lower Elo than their opponents are considered underdogs; they gain more Elo for winning and lose less Elo when defeated.
