Twilight Tactics Gameplay

Twilight Tactics, the second major release of the Shadowcorns arc, features a competition between Unicorns and Shadowcorns to control the Dark Forest. Overview

Twilight Tactics has two periods—a period of Battle, which lasts for 1 month, followed by a period of Tranquility, which lasts for 2 months. During a period of Battle, the Unicorn stat requirements to fend off Shadowcorn attacks on farms and carts will be increased. To restore the peace of their Lands, Unicorns will need to fight back against the Shadowcorns by forming Unicorn squads and attacking Regions of the Dark Forest. On the other hand, to retain control of the Dark Forest, Shadowcorns must assemble Minion squads to defend the Regions of the Dark Forest.

The battle between Shadowcorns and Unicorns introduces for the first time the mechanic of burning Unicorns; losing Unicorn squads have a chance to have a Unicorn burned.

Both Shadowcorn and Unicorn holders earn Domination Points for participating in Twilight Tactics. The winning squad will earn more Domination Points than the losing squad. Domination Points also determine the amount of Daily Rewards a player gets, the Faction that controls a Region in the Dark Forest, and the rank of a player on the Leaderboards. Both Shadowcorn and Unicorn Factions will have their own Leaderboards.

The faction that controls most regions of the Dark Forest after the 1 month battle period wins the event. On top of the rewards given for winning the event, both Shadowcorn and Unicorn holders may also get rewards from the leaderboards.

A period of Tranquility will follow after the period of Battle. During this period, the Unicorn stat requirements to fend off Shadowcorn attacks on farms and carts will revert to regular values.
